Finally...New Nickel In Change

About a half hour ago I finally received my first new nickel in change here in
the New Haven, Connecticut area. It's well struck and must have come from a
fresh roll as it is essentially mark free.

Of course, it's a Philly Mint product.

I got mine a couple days ago (in South Carolina). It's really strange
flipping the thing over and not seeing Monticello on the back. I
wonder how many people in the general public will pay attention or
even know there's a change to the nickel (or will even recognize
there's something different about it).

the banks don't seem to have them, either. Ugh - waiting is painful!
