Rodney, you forgot about how Daylight Saving confuses the cows, so
that they don't know when to come in to be milked ...

Well that's true,
it serves as a great excuse for getting home late too.

Someone piped up at question time at our stamp club recently
wanting to know when someone was going to adjust the clock.
I was happily enjoying myself at 8:30pm, when it was really 9:30.
I had to rush home and apologise, and kneel to the wife.

Daylight Saving Time!
INMHO, FWIW, which is miniscule, Just a bunch of hogwash and serves no
useful purpose.
Here in the USA not all States fell into the DST system and in one
State part was DST and the other part not DST. This has been corrected
being that the Time Zone line was shifted a bit.

True, and on the rim of the Pacific, DST extends the northern states
'daylight' to nearly 11 PM, but still dark at 6:30 AM !

It would make more sense to shift the time zones forward 1/2 hour and leave
them there !- Hide quoted text -

Don't even get into the time zone thing, there are some oddities
there, like the 1/2 hour time zones.

I'm reminded of Craig Ferguson's observations at the close of this
season's Daylight Savings Time: "Don't *stop* it! *It's the only
savings most Americans have left!"

Thank you! I just have to type it or copy it over on a clipboard,
rather than having it added automatically.

I must do the same. When I paid for AOL it had the automatic feature
but the free version of AOL I now use does not have the bells and
whistles.

You've Got Mail, is not one f the bells and whistles...I still get
that so I leave the speakers off. No problem. I have a fairly
expensive pair of speakers with a driver and the music still sounds
lousy so I don't use sound.

This is far more a function of your sound card.

I know nothing about the computer sound card.
I do know that trying to play music via the computer sux.
I use a stand alone CD player when I wish to hear music.
I do not think I am overdriving the sound system, I keep it very low.
