"note.boy" wrote in message news A suspiciously large number of "unc" Scottish notes on offer from this seller. Billy http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZi...QQfsooZ1QQrdZ0 This seller has been around for awhile and is not informed duly that there really is no such thing as an uncirculated Scottish note from before ca. 1970. The real comedic part of this is that some TPG company thinks the notes are not pressed or treated either. Anybody that really knows these things appreciates that they were folded in half by the time they got to the bank, so the best you are going to get is something with a bend or a teller flick on it. Otherwise the note is suspect of having gotten Billy's personal fave chemical treatment and a visit to the auld steam press. |
