Pens with a different message every time you click

Hi folks,

I tried posting this in one of the marketing newsgroups and didn't get
an answer so I thought I'd try here. Sorry if this is too far off
topic.

I'm looking for a supplier of ink pens that give display a different
message every time you click the pen. I've search the Internet and
all I can is find places that will put my logo on a regular pen. I'm
not even sure what the right name is for this type of pen.

Being a medical student and hanging around far too many pharmaceutical
company representatives for my own good, I think I've seen just about
every type of promotional pen ever manufactured from the 20-cent
cheapies up to the twenty dollar plus semi-decent ballpoints.

I think what you're looking for is one of those pens with different
one-line messages printed on usually a Parker refill, so that every
time it rotates a different message shows through a transparent window
on the body of the pen? If I recall correctly those things are called
"Message Pens". Just doing a quick search through Google I've found
several suppliers including this one he

Unfortunately for me (but fortunately, I suppose, for the health
budget), the drug reps dont seem to give out promotional fountain
pens, which would definitely have me hooked. So I'll stick to my usual
habit of accepting the pens then giving them away to non-medical
people I meet, and using an old Parker 51 for myself. Impresses the
specialists, to see a student taking notes with such a pen...

I know what you're talking about, and it seems Justin may have found them
for you. I've also seen pens that have a sort of banner rolled up inside the
pen. You pull on a little bar of plastic outside the barrel, and unfurl the
little banner, which can (presumably) be printed with whatever you want. I
don't have a supplier for these, but I thought you might be interested.
