I have but small interest in wheatie cents, in fact I have box after box of two by twoed cents similar to what you are offering. Still, when I seen the time you put in making your date, grade and retail price chart, I had to bid (sorry Mike). The problem with selling coins such as these is the retail values really represent something less ( or more?) than market demand value. When you see a retail price of 25 cents, or 50 cents, that probably means the coin doesn't really carry a premium other than required by a dealer for handling the item at all. I'm not knocking your auction at all, I'm just saying it won't be surprising if the auction ends at less than 25 cents on the dollar. I expect the same thing when I get around to selling my cents, most of which comprise of higher grade commons or low grade semi-keys. Bill |

It matters not what they go for as long as they go to some one who will
appreciate them. I am not looking to make a fortune out of them. They have all been in my collection and replaced by better coins. I don't want to make people think they are getting something they are not. As long as I cover my eBay fees I am happy. I think everyone should know what they are getting from eBay regardless of the price so I have no problem spending a few extra minutes listing all the coins. Thanks for looking and or bidding Richard "nohope587" wrote in message ... Some good dates some common dates a nice mix would make a good starter set for some one. I hope you can recover your eBay fees on this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=2203295 717 Will your winning bidder get the coin pictured AND a PCGS slabbed coin? Is the value of the PCGS coin according to their fantasy online price guide or closer to CDN bid? Does the value of the PCGS slab include the grading fees? If so, a cynical bidder might expect a body-bagged common nickel or cent. If not, and if you had to bear the cost of PCGS grading, you will have paid quite a price for this entertaining, educational auction. |

Thanks for looking and or bidding Richard They will definitely go to someone who will appreciate them :-) I'm a sucker for Lincolns, so this will start my fourth set. My PC was giving me trouble last night so I had to reboot a couple of times. When I pulled the auction up it had 19 seconds left and was sitting at $13.51. I couldn't let it go for that, so I threw out a bid real fast and ended up getting the win with two seconds to spare. Ed |
