I'm posting this for a friend. Please do NOT email me any questions about
these two stamps. Instead, use eBay's "Ask Seller A Question" link on the
auctions' pages to contact the seller directly.

Up for auction are the following two spectacular classic 1847 US stamps..

Unused Scott #2 NG XF+ 10c Washington Black 2
Mint with no gum, Extra Fine, Full Margins
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=297385776 6

and..

Mint Unused Scott #1 XF+ 5c Franklin 1
Mint with traces of gum, 4 Full Margins
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=297385823 5

See each auction's description for high resolution pictures of each stamp,
front and back, and other details.

Shipping on either one or both, inside the US, by Registered Mail, insured

I hope the seller of these items uses any proceeds from this sale to buy a
better camera.

If there is a sale it should make the national news.

There are only 3 FULL MARGINS on this stamp. I think the guy selling
it is blind. $15,000 - far too high for this stamp.

Yeah, right. Look over the top of Franklin's left eye. Do you see a
diagonal line? I sure do. Maybe something is coming through the
paper from the back.

Looks like this is his first Stamp Sale. The other items are games, a
leather jacket, and a Russian gold coin.

I don't think I'll bid.

The 5c Francklin has had a pen cancel removed.
You can see an X going through Franklin's left eye by his ear
and up between F and I of OFFICE.

I received a nasty personal note from "J.A. Mc." to my posting of this
discussion to the r.c.s.d group. As my mailer rejected my reply to him with
a "host not found" error message I am going public with my response.

I forwarded the mailing I found on r.c.s.marketplace to r.c.s.d hoping to
elicit some discussion about the dismal quality of the pictures in the eBay
posting. I was not trying to sell anything. I question whether the stamps
offered without authentification are even real; you cannot tell from the
lousy images.

I know the rules of this group so what gives with J.A. Mc.? Is he the self
appointed net cop?

Maybe a small miscommunication or misreading of the message is
possible. I most assuredly didn't think this was a sale message by
you. Actually, quite funny at the prices quoted... :^)

I knew it. I surely looked liked a red cancel.
