Technically Christians and Jews are not Infidels since they are both
people "of the Book" meaning the Old Testement which is also revered by
Islam.

In that case I wonder what's all the "fuss" about !? :-)
"Technicality" or not, the world is still fighting over
questions of being infidel or not ...

Then if we believe in the same 'god', why are christians

'infidels'?

Because when you were born, your father didn't whisper "Il illah

Allah,
Mohammed razul Allah" in your ear.

So your father supersedes 'god' if you're a muslem? Hmmm.

The word is Muslim, not "muslem".

So your father supersedes 'god' if you're a muslim? Hmmm.

And the answer is still "no!"

Whispering "There is one God, Muhammed is His messenger" in your ear
doesn't mean your father supersedes God.

Since Christians don't believe in Muhammed as God's messenger they are,
by definition, infidels, since that's what 'infidel' means: an
unbeliever with respect to a particular religion...

Same old .. same old ... "If you don't do/believe exactly as I
do/believe I hate you and will destroy you."

One can find examples in all countries and religions.

Usually accompanied by an extreme case of xenophobia or years of
'training'.

So why are Muslim fundamentalists killing them then? :^(

Why do "Catholics" in Northern Ireland kill Protestants? Why do
"Protestants" in Northern Ireland kill Catholics? Why did many Catholic and
Protestant leaders in Nazi Germany condone, or at least not protest, the
Holocaust? Why did "Christian" members of the KKK lynch blacks in the U.S.?
(My wife's grandfather on her mother's side was a "good" Presbyterian and a
Klansman. Why did "Christian" Americans and Brits create and support the
slave trade?

The names of religions are often nothing more than trappings that obscure
basic evil. A "Muslim" or "Christian" terrorist has this relationship to
religion: he or she uses it as a weapon.

Are they all infidels?

Religions don't kill - people kill. Religions aren't at fault -
people are.

It's almost like soccer games with thugs on each side beating each
other up when they win or lose.

Same game, different uniform...

[ Passes the vomit bag to stewardess - "Thanks! I needed that!" ]

Actually, when they say that, they are trying to know how many M&M's
are "in Fidel" at any one moment. They're association with Cuba is
tenuous at best, but it has been a long standing joke and contest in
the Muslim world. So far, nobody has guessed it correctly, due to the
high security and around Fidel and those that have a semi-permanent
residence in Guantanamo who have first "dibs" on the prize.

The prize - a forged reprint stamp of Che Guevara in his youth.

Well, if you're a GB plater, the twelfth (row/column) position is pure
"LL".
