Default Newbie question: Vintage pen for everyday use

On Fri, 3 Oct 2003 at 13:25:37 -0400, "Licensed to Quill" (vin-
tagepen at compuserve dot nospam dot com) scribbled:
-(and so's not to start a flaming session which people on these
-boards seem to love, I should add ...

It's unfortunate that your posting is anonymous, "Licensed to
Quill," because to be in line with longtime Netiquette ethics, I'm
precluded from making any substantive reply to your posting be-
cause of your anonymousness.

If you want to encourage serious and responsible discussion,
"Licensed to Quill," you should come out of hiding (regardless of
who you are -- it doesn't matter if you're the Queen of England or
the King of Fountain Pens or the CEO of Parker).

Flamers are annoying, to be sure. (And I'm sure you'll flame
away at me now -- which I'll simply ignore because, after all,
you're just an "anonymouse," as they say.) But until you sign
your postings, your opinions won't deserve to be taken seriously.

wow - you really believe that.

that's sad that you've made such a gross generalization about the
purpose of anonymity on Usenet.

so - is that email addy real? or are you just a hypocrit?
