Danish philatelic translation needed
The following text (stamped in blue) appears on a parcel card from
Germany to Denmark from 1927. Pakken oplagt paa Graasten Toldkammer On-line translators come up with garbage. If any Danish speakers could help, I would be grateful. Many thanks: John (remove "not me" and "jack") |

Danish philatelic translation needed
John,
The sentence means : "The packet is deposited at Graasten Customs Office". Graasten is located in the southern part of Jutland, very close to the German border. Hope this helps :-) Mette (in Denmark). "John Tollan" skrev i en meddelelse ... The following text (stamped in blue) appears on a parcel card from Germany to Denmark from 1927. Danish philatelic translation needed
Of a set of four stamps of royal palaces (Amalienborg, residential palace in
Copenhagen), Fredensborg (residence for the crownprincely couple), Marselisborg in Jutland (outside Aarhus), and Graasten (the latter two only for holiday use) - all issued 17th march 1994 -- was also issued in 2006 a coin of 20 dkr, showing only the tower of the castle, but it is duly inscribed "Graasten Slot". The one pictured in Scott is Marselisborg, located in a big forest.
