How much is a Seeburg C worth?
I know nothing about Jukes. More of a pins and vids guy.
I got this Seeburg 100C Selectomatic from a friend. I can't get the back door open without bustin the lock (unless someone here know's how?) but I'm pretty sure she's complete as it's been in a single family's posession for a very long time. http://www.onecircuit.com/images/ebay/SUC50024.JPG I did a quick search on ebay for this model under completed listings and was surprised to see how much even the pieces for this thing have gone for. Maybe I should part it out? Need some advice... thanks guys. -Adam |

Value all depends on condition and location. Completely restored -
$3,500+. Working and complete - $1,600. Not working, but complete - $800. Some parts can be very valuable. It's not my favorite juke, but it's a popular model (Happy Days). ajcrm125 wrote: I know nothing about Jukes. More of a pins and vids guy. I got this Seeburg 100C Selectomatic from a friend. You might want to look at trading it.
I know that I will usually trade some decent pins for classic jukes. The picture that you posted is pretty poor, but it looks like the cabinet has been painted blue. Same rules apply to jukes as to pins. If the original cabinet is good under the paint it's not too big of a deal, but if the cabinet will have to be completely re-veneered, it really takes away from the value of the juke. Are the plastic pilasters on the sides good? If so are the animation units inside them working (are the colors changing when the juke is on)? I would drill out the lock with a 3/8 or 1/2 inch drill instead of risking damaging the door by prying it. Let me know and send me some more pics and we might be able to work a trade. Thanks! ACK! Don't drill the lock if you can avoid it. Assuming it is the original
one, you can buy the proper key from Victory Glass company. Joseph "Tony" Dziedzic In article , "Keith Stelter" wrote: You might want to look at trading it. Virtually every part on this jukebox is available as reproductions from
several vendors, including Victory Glass. A friend of mine paid $21,000 for a completely restored Seeburg C a few years ago. |

Is that a typo, or did you REALLY mean $21,000.00 ?!?!?!?
If you aren't kidding please send me the name of your friend so that I can sell him stuff! I can't think of any jukes other than a Peacock or a Filben Maestro that would command that kind of money. He must have meant $2,100 ... I've seen Cs go for as much as $4,000 retail (restored). I like the idea of a trade. If you're near Maryland, then ask Lloyd if he's interested in a trade for a pin - he deals in both. www.coinopwarehouse.com Keith Stelter wrote: Is that a typo, or did you REALLY mean $21,000.00 ?!?!?!? No that's not a typo. My friend lives in Santa Barbara, Calif and I can
vouch that he did indeed pay $21,000 for his restored Seeburg C. It also came with a restored wallbox and the juke was loaded with records. Oh, by the way, my friend is a multi-multi millionaire. |

Maybe I am too, but it doesn't mean that I'm going to pay 5X RETAIL price
for things. Does he wipe his ass with hundred dollar bills because he's a "multi-multi millionaire"? I'd like to keep as much of my money as possible! "Ken Layton" wrote in message ups.com... Kieth: There are some people in the US and World that must pay more for everything they purchase because of status. In other words if anyone found out that they bought a "CHEAP: low priced item they would be ostrisized for it, One case in particular was this doctors wife who always wore a specific designer perfume ( which could only be bought from a known upscale store) then one day a friend of her's wore the same perfume that was another name but a knockoff of her designer perfume that was purchased at a discount surplus store for about 5% of the price from designer store. Well when the Dr's wife found out that she threw her perfume in the trash and would not ever wear that perfume again. This is just one isolated case but I know of many. This is why many buisines people strive for this type customer as they are out there. I congratulate the seller of the $21,000 Seeburg C. I congratulate the seller of the 1970 Hemi Cuda convertible that sold in A Barrett Jackson Auction for $2 Million dollars that sold for $4,000 when new. There are many more also. |
