Tech: Seeburg 222 Add Solenoid stays on
Hi Group -
My Seeburg 222 keeps scanning and the selection keys remain down when pressed. After a bit of exploring, I noticed that the Add Solenoid remains on. Is this the cause of my problems or another symptom? Any ideas on what to look for next? I have another pricing unit from my Q100 that I was thinking of swaping in - what do you guys think? Any ideas appreciated . . . Thanks, Barry Schiffer |

If the keys remain depressed that indicates the pricing unit is not making a
full cycle; the keys are released at the end of a credit cycle. This is often caused by mis-adjustment of the "hold" switches on the selector keyboard, but could also be caused by a mis-adjustment of the carry-through switch in the credit unit that ensures the unit makes a full cycle, or a defective hold relay in the credit unit. I don't offhand recall if the Q pricing unit is fully compatible with the one from the 222 ... I am hoping that a simple swap of the credit unit might bring the desired
results (if my Q100 matches the 222). Will post results for future reference . . . Barry -- Please visit my gameroom: http://home.comcast.net/~barry5327/ "Ken G." wrote in message ... Update - replacing the credit unit did fix the scanning problem and the
solenoid problem. Now if I can just get it to pick up a record (different problem, I believe).
