My listings for these coins were pulled by ebay for listing violations. I
made the error of including a price guide value in the listing, something I
have always done in all the years I have listed stuff on ebay. I had no idea
this was forbidden, I thought it would give the buyer an idea of what might
be in the ball park as far as a bid goes...oh well...my bad!

I know the feeling. I've tried to sell a Henney Nickel several times
on Ebay and it gets yanked every time.

If you mean "Henning Nickel" that's a bit different. While a casual
coin seller may not be aware that eBay does not allow the price guide
values.....all eBayers involved in buying and selling coins should be
aware that you can't sell a counterfeit coin.

I can understand that counterfeits do damage the hobby, but..

I myself would have thought that the "Henning Nickel" would have been
allowed as a contemporary counterfeit and as such is collectable

Or is it because the coin could still pass as legal tender?

because if not, then what is the rammifications on "Machin Mills"
halfpennies, evasion halfpennies, Operation bernard White Fivers and
the such like

Not trying to be problamatic, just trying to find out more

I'm always looking for Henning nickels ... how much do you
want for it, or would you be willing to run an r.c.c auction
and accept e-mail bids on it??

Counterfeits are legal to sell and own as long as they are not
misrepresented. Ebay doesn't allow them, however.
