Three new Cowboys books: Fall, 2006

Not sure what's up with the fall publishing season (maybe the authors
know something I don't, which isn't hard to do), but three new books
about the Dallas Cowboys are scheduled for release in the fall of 2006.

In order of scheduled release, they a

"Game of My Life: Dallas Cowboys / Memorable Stories from Cowboys
Football", Jean Jacques Taylor (Sports Publishing, August 1, 2006); 256
pages; ISBN: 159670036X; $24.95

Readers are taken inside the most memorable game of 24 players and
former coach Jimmy Johnson that earned each of them a place in the
history and lore of America's Team. Each chapter provides colorful
detail on each person's favorite game and its significance to the
history of one of the world's most recognized franchises. Players
featured include Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Emmitt Smith, Randy
White, Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, Deion Sanders, Chuck Howley, Larry
Brown, Don Perkins, Bob Lilly, and Bill Bates.

Jean-Jacques Taylor has been a senior sports reporter at the Dallas
Morning News since 1991 and has covered the Cowboys since 1995. In that
time he has covered the Cowboys victory in Super Bowl XXX, the
retirements of Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin, as well as
their induction into the club's exclusive Ring of Honor; Smith's
pursuit of the NFL's all-time rushing record, the hiring of legendary
coach Bill Parcells, and Aikman's induction into the Pro Football
Hall of Fame. Taylor is from DeSoto, Texas.

"Cowboys Essential: Everything You Need to Know to Be a Real Fan!",
Frank Luksa (Triumph Books, September, 2006); 192 pages; ISBN:

"Glory Days: Life with the Dallas Cowboys, 1972-1998", Thomas "Buck"
Buchanon (Taylor Publishing, October 25, 2006); 320 pages; ISBN:
1589793641; $24.95

Buck Buchanan was the beloved equipment manager for the Dallas Cowboys
for 25 years, during which time the Cowboys won four Super Bowls.
Written with the consent and support of the Dallas Cowboys
organization, Buchanan provides a unique behind-the-scenes look -- from
the logistics of moving equipment for away games, to the proclivities
and needs of individual players. On the sidelines for every Cowboys
game, he also describes how the coaches and players interacted during
some of the team's most legendary moments.

My God! It will be hell, but I am going to have to shoehorn these three
treasures into my extensive, imaginary "as told to..." collection.
