Shield Nickel Question
I purchased a nice shield nickel for my type set from a local coin dealer
yesterday on my way home from work. Didn't examine it real close there in the shop, but was pleased with what I saw for the price. Upon later examining it with a loupe, I see that two letters are missing from "TRUST" on this coin. It simply has "T U T" there without any trace at all of the other two letters. I think this is the first coin I've seen with such missing letters. Is this something that is commonly found with these old shields? -=LDL |

But a $25 two cent sold on Ebay for almost $100 because of a filled die error that caused it to read "TWO CENT". Bruce (Heck, I bid $40 on it because I thought it was cool) |
