Rock-Ola 1495 Questions

Greetings:

I just acquired a Rock-Ola 1495 (Regis) and have a couple of questions.
One, I have seen various vendors selling cabinet keys for these things. Are
these key *blanks*? Two, I cannot get the machine to select a record. I
punch in a selection, and nothing happens (except the keys [usually] get
reset). If I move the switch inside from "OPER" to "SCAN", the turntable
will start and the amp comes alive, but the magazine doesn't move. I wonder
if something is just not getting power? Thanks for any advice...
