Seeburg 222

It seems like the younger folks don't relate to jukes...they are more
into CD's MP3's....house music and rap .......To me there is nothing like a
juke, All lit up and the ambience that it creates
.....and there are thousands of 45's for sale on E-bay and www.gemm.com
the world's largest
record store 19 million items for sale...don't your sons like rock out of
the 70's ???? what do they like??? try gemm.com......George

three sons all over 20 and I can't remember the last time one of them
or their friends pushed a button on any of the jukes in our game room.
I have four jukes a G,161,Q and an AY and me and my wife are the only
ones that play them. Lets face it how many 1015' out there still play
78's and how many have been converted to play 45's.
When I'm dead and gone I don't see my sons fighting over the jukes the
pins maybe but not the jukes,

222 has 160 selections, a 220 has 80.

What we have here is a failure to communicate (good movie).I can see
that even those that correct make mistakes too. I didn't know that
Seeburg made an 80 selection unit must be the 220.5 model.

The juke looks great but the price is tad high. I would offer just a
little less. Just remind the seller that juke lovers are a dying
breed.

I have always liked some form of phonograph always had one all through
the years i always wanted a jukebox but untill a coupe years ago i had
not found any worth having now 44 have 2

I'm also 35.I've had a Rockola Supersound 2 since I was 26.Always liked vinyl
records and record players of all types but loved jukeboxes most of all.Always
preferred 45s to 78s though because of the clearer sound and awfully tough to
find any rock and roll on a 78 except for the repro records.I like music from
the 50's to 90's and some but very little current music.2 years ago I found my
first juke from the 50's a Wurlitzer 2150.Not one of the best looking 50's
boxes but it grows on you after a while.Now I finally got a 50's box that is
considered a" real collectible" by the jukebox collecting community,a Seeburg
C.It needs total restoration and I'm just getting started and have spent more
than I got in the other 2 together.I like the looks of the 40's Wurlitzers but
all that money and only 24 songs.maybe they'll come down to a more reasonable
price when the old guys die off.Early 30's is probably the cutoff point to
actually remember a vinyl playing jukebox on location.When I was a kid they
were actually in eating establishments and arcades.Now it seems jukeboxes only
find homes in coffeehouses and bars and they all play cds.Most of us fell in
love with jukeboxes when we were little kids begging our mom's for change to
put in the jukebox in the restaurant or diner.

There were not to many companies that were able to incorporate the color
pink into their products quite like the way Seeburg did with the
220/222....it really has that 50's flair....George
