Any idea why "Economy" has been stamped
"Lettre" ?
http://cjoint.com/data/jmjM3IkpgE.htm

Caveat: The parcel had been used prior
so maybe the sticker had been on that usage.

Supplementary query.
Any Idea why perforations in some scans
appear as raised lumps?
I remember seeing a clip of a revolving
opera mask once, as the inside came
into view, the brain recognises the nose
shadow, and automatically assumes it
to protude, so the inside "flips" inside
out.
Maybe perf and their shadows follow suit?

I would say it was from the previous usage.
Your sending went Letter class (first class).

He he he ;-)

I do recognize my writing :-)

I do not recall beeing such a niggard in 2002 to reuse an old cover ?
But it seems to be the only explanation.
Nevertheless the cross on the "Economy" label seems to be from a
different pen than my writing ???
If you still have all the entire cover, may be you can send me a full
scan of it and I may have a better explanation ?

Yes I think it happens when the stamp is not glued right to the cover.
Then you can see the perf and some shadow of it at the same time, thus
giving an feeling of 3D.

Thanks Rod : you are too kind with me ;-)
After seeing the scan of the full cover, one can see my name & address
under the sticker with your address.

was probably the Michel Catalogue.

You were meaning Yvert I suppose.

Yes thanks!

If I calculate the franking :
0.46 € x 9 = 4.14 €
+ 0.79 + 1.02 = 5.95 €
Definitely 1st class (and not Economy) franking :-)

Your Prepaid Post-card should leave to-day with (if available in my
small post-office) an additional small gift, what La Poste calls an
"animated" stamp :
