Default Unknown coin found in arcade machine. What is it?

I found a curious looking coin today when I freed it from a jammed
arcade machine. It's probably not worth much, and more than likely is
still in circulation, but it is engraved in some eastern language that
I don't understand. I looked around the internet trying to identify
it, but didn't have much success. Can anyone tell me where it's from
or how much in US $ it's worth? Thank you!

Here are pictures of both sides of it:

I'd guess: Thailand, 5 baht, nearly worthless...

Best,
Tom

It is a 5 Baht coin of Thailand. It is a copper nickel coin minted from 1988
to 1996. According to Krause's World coin catalog, a uncirculated specimen
retails fot 50 cents (US cents).
