Hi All

Even more specialised than Brusden White are the BSAP checklists of the
1/2d, 1d, and 4d sidefaces and their various publications on the
Kangaroo and Map. Greg Pope has recently published superb volumes on
values in the Kangaroo and Map series. The 1d, 2d and 2 1/2d are all
available. He has just completed the 3d Kangaroo (not yet published)
and has started work on the 6d Kangaroo. Banwell and Parsons have just
published the 9d Kangaroo checklist.
I have published a short article on the 3d Die 1 and Die 2 stamps and
how to differentiate between them.
Drury and Finlayson's studies of the 1d sideface are even more detailed
and still ongoing. I am always happy to answer any questions on the
sidefaces to 1924 and the Kangaroo and Map to 1925 (when my
specialisation stops!). There is a superb site which gives a complete
history of Australian Stamps to about 1954 which can be found at
http://predecimal.nf/ and although it hasn't been updated for some time
it is still a tremendous historical site.

I cannot find much on this site - about a page and a half of fairly general
information of roos and heads and an enlarged picture of a blank roo stamp.
And I cannot switch off the "music" which annoyingly interferes with the
radio that I am playing through the computer speakers.

Regards, Roger
