This is a bit of a sticking point. Physicians here in
socialist Manitoba often tire of the government run hospitalization and head
to the U.S. or more lucrative provinces (or anywhere that they can charge
whatever they want). snip


That person would NOT be one of my treating physicians anyway.
Profit-driven doctors are usually responsible for more malpractice and
patient deaths than those working in a non-profit environment. Source:

redact that portion.

That means we educate doctors on the public purse and
then they bugger off to somewhere else. Leaving the rest of the doctors
short-handed and overworked. People who tire of waiting two years for a new
knee and can afford it, also head to places that have private medicine. I
suppose the solution would be a North American Socialist Medical system but
somehow that sounds unlikely. Funny how life is never as simple as
constructing a few sentences. snip
