Default Seeking opinions onthe Namiki "Falcon"

Namiki is perhaps the best (IMHO) Japanese nibmaker. I own a Falcon, two
Vanishing Points, a Music Nib, and a Panda. Each one is an absolute joy to
use. One thing to remember is that Japanese nibs tend to be about a
half-size narrower than European nibs -- but you know that because of your
VP.

The Falcon nib is an elongated 14K flexxy nib. There is a lot of flex
built in reminiscent of early Pelikans. It takes a little getting used to
-- you might consider it the opposite of a Parker 51 and more like a
dip-pen nib. Not as flexible as a mapping point, but not being made out of
spring steel it is the closest fountain pen equivalent.

If you really want to have expressive handwriting the Falcon is probably
the closest modern version of en early Pelikan or Waterman noodle-nib.

Enjoy your new pen!
