Default Last gasp for silver dollar slots

While this may be of limited utility, those nearby may be interested to
know that there are still slot machines in Nevada that pay out in silver
dollars. In Reno, at the CalNeva there were two such machines (both
accept quarters for play), one which paid out in silver eagles and one
which paid out in Peace dollars (theoretically Morgans could be won as
well but I didn't hit any). In Virginia City (a tourist trap outside
Carson City) there was a machine in the Delta Saloon which paid out in
silver dollars as well- Peace and Morgan (though I suspect most are 1921
dated like the one I won). The coins were all VG to F and could be
redeemed at the cashier for $10 each if desired (I kept mine). So for
any of you who want to experience the way it was or if you have a bunch
of low end Peace dollars you want to try and get $10 each for (just
don't bring a bag worth- the casinos aren't stupid then head west
young man. BTW, in my experience, the silver dollar machines were about
as generous/stingy as most other dollar slot machines in terms of amount
won per dollar "invested".
