Seeberg VL200 Question

Just replaced the 2050 tube at V2-Trip.
Is there some resister or capacitor that commonly causes that tube to fail?

Arthur, premature thyratron failures are not capacitor related. Those tubes conduct more heavily and do not last anywhere near as long as typical amplifier tubes.

Check for proper negative bias (approx -25vdc) at pin 5 on the 2050.

Another area to check is the trip coil. It should read around 250 Ohms. You will need to unplug the mech from the receiver to test the coil.

Have the selection receiver and amp been restored?
