It is published by Doubleday& Company, Inc., Garden City, New York, 1st Edition, Copyright 1971. The book is 529 pages and is a comprehensive book on the Japanese Imperial Fleet from 1897 through WWII. The book details all Japanese Battleships, Ironclads, Cruisers, Aircraft Carriers, Merchant Ships, Seaplane Tenders, Torpedo Boats, Destroyers, Submarines, Patrol Boats, Escorts, Minesweepers and Minelayers, Submarine Chasers, and more. Each vessel is described with a photograph or drawing of the vessel, and specifications (displacement, dimensions, machinery, armament, bunkers & radius, and more). There is also a descriptive narrative of the vessel. The appendix has the Japanese Shipbuilding Program during WWII (i.e. ship order number, class/name, type, and how many constructed). This is a great reference book on Japanese ships used in WWII. The book measures 8 inches x 10 inches and is in excellent condition.
