George Junior Republic tokens

Hello! I am looking for at least one token from the George Junior
Republic (home for boys). I guess these were made and used decades ago.
If anyone out there knows where I can purchase one, that would be
super! I am a schoolteacher, and one of these tokens would be
particularly treasured in my collection. Thanks!

Erik, I'm just curious if you ever got a response to your request. I
live near the GJR.

Hi Jerry!! No reply yet!! You're the only one who has responded. As far
as I know, the GJR minted quite a few tokens, over a span of many
years. I've seen 2 articles in Coin World, and they had some images. So
I should, theoretically, be able to find at least ONE token sometime
soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I especially want one of these
coins because I'm an elementary school special education teacher. I use
a token-economy in my class, but not coins; I use facsimile "dollar
bills", which I've re-designed. Nothing too fancy.
Thanks Jerry!

I thought you were talking about the George Bush, Jr dictatorship, formerly
known as the United States of America.
