Today I received a solicitation from DAV. The return envelope had NO STAMPS
on it. Don't they send out those envelopes with multiple low-denomination
coil stamps any more?

I have heard - but I don't know that it's accurate - that many charities now
don't use the pre-stamped envelopes for mailing to purchased mailing lists
where the return rate is likely to be low. They may still use them for
former donors or for those on lists that are thought to be better prospects.
I am NOT saying that such is the case with DAV, just that it's a possible
explanation.
