Debbie Smith pulled over in the middle of a Springfield roundabout, while students carried a pale and blue-lipped Abbie Von Schie to the front of the bus. The girl was choking, gasping and panicking in front of her two older sisters and brother, and other students, on their way home from St Augustine's College. Mrs Smith, a mother and grandmother, tapped between the little girl's shoulders and squeezed her chest to dislodge the coin. Mother Debbie Von Schie this morning tearfully presented Mrs Smith with chocolates, flowers and her everlasting gratitude. "Words cannot express how thankful I am," Mrs Von Schie said. .... |
