Is it possible to set one of these to free play and constant random play

If you are speaking of the old timer from the 1970s, no there is no
random play.

Free play is just fixing the credit unit so the 'key switch' is always
closed. Note that 'key switch' is Wurlitzer's term for the credit
available switch and I do not recall what NSM's name is - same function
though.

NSM prestige free play
 
I keep forgetting the model . Its early 80`s
digital readout . Has a service mode switch that is mounted so it
switches when the front is open .
