there anything in Michel?
Can I say a Merry Christmas to all on this group, it has been a pleasure to

Microsoft Excel by
Grandpa
For those who use Excel for their collection(s) and are unfamiliar with
many of its features, one you'll love is 'Comments'. You can take any
cell and add a comment to it, a small text note that only shows when the
cursor is run over it. You can tell a cell with a Comment as there is a
small red...

Old thread about free server space by
Mette
Some time ago there was a thread here about free server
space for an introductory period of 3 years. Now I cannot
find the thread and the link given -- I seem to remember
that it was Peter D who posted the message, but I could
be wrong. Whoever it was, would you be kind enough to
post the link...

embossing by
Zdenek Jizba
Many 19th century stamps have an embossed center
usually showing a portrait of a king (or queen). The
process sometimes causes the edge to cut through
the paper. My question is: Is the cut through the
paper considered a damage to the stamp, and if so
how much of a discount would it warrant (say...

Saar query by
Rodney
http://groups.msn.com/Stamps/shoebox.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=185
A couple of questions.
Is there a common name for the enclosed cancel style?
eg Bar and Circle
This cancel is unlike any I have in my Saar collection
and was curious to know it's significance.
(It has an extra outer ring of...

India Revenue Question
The scan below raises an interesting question.
http://i10.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/12/99/7e_1.JPG
This is obviously an Indian revenue.
It also, ironically, shows King George VI -
the last Emperor of India.

US Smokey the Bear tagging omitted error by
Jeffry L. Johnson
On 2003 October 30 I posted here about finding an apparently untagged
Smokey the Bear stamp on FDC, US Scott #2096.
Today I received the APEX report stating that, in their opinion, it is a
tagging omitted error, used on FDC, genuine in all respects.
What fun!

Plastic stamps by
Grandpa
I've a Scott 2475 (25¢ American Flag) self adhesive thats made from
plastic film. This is the first time I've seen a postage stamp made of
this. Whatever material they used as the adhesive doesn't come off with
water and I'm reluctant to remove it with something else for fear of
messing up the...
