The joys of numismatic research by
Reid Goldsborough
Anybody have some "knowledge finds" they'd like to share. With me,
acquiring information and knowledge is every bit as rewarding as
acquiring coins.
Case in point. Last night, in finishing reading through information
from articles and books I've collected but hadn't yet gotten to, I
uncovered some...

FA: VIP Sacagawea - James Benfield / Coin Coalition Strike by
Phil Barnhart
This auction is for the VIP Sacagawea struck by James Benfield, the
late head of the Coin Coalition and the father of the Sacagawea
dollar. These "first strikes" were done on a special press at a
ceremony held at the Philadelphia Mint on November 18, 1999. Less
than 600 strikes were made, and it...

GREAT NEWS! by
Amber[_2_]
Hi,
Since the day I started my online business, I always being told that the money is on the list.
However, sometimes it wasn’t easy to capture even a single lead into your list, right?
That’s why I always dreamed of a tool that could help me generate leads faster and easier -- with less...

privy mark? by
oepepper[_2_]
The mint has added a "privy" mark to the obverse of the new Innovation dollar series, beginning with the 2019 issues. Originally wasn't a privy mark an indication of the mint that made it? In this case even the P and D coins will have the same gear type privy mark! They should add the date and mint...

The Price of Metal by
John Savard[_2_]
Canadians are less jealous of their liberty than Americans, and they let the
government get away with more.
So Canada went over to the metric system.
And Canada abolished the penny, and the dollar bill. So while the Susan B. Anthony
dollar failed in the United States, in Canada we have the...

New dollar by
oepepper[_2_]
What is everyone's opinion on the new Innovation dollar series? I liked the first issue with GW signature and I wish they would put the date on the liberty side with all the room. There should be a few good designs out of the series, I would hope.

I realize this group isnt real busy, but maybe a few old guys like me

Pap's collection on E-Bay over the last years to pay my health insurance.
He had 75 rolls of Indians which I sold by the roll. Most of his stuff

If it's true that you shouldn't collect Philadelphia coins, for the
Most part, what other things about coins is equally true? (Like,
" don't buy circulated coins"). Thanks.

Why didn't they put the date and mintmark on the liberty side of the coin. It looks like plenty of room for it to me.

I have a 1943 oz Penny dot be4 and dot after Penny and I. The reason they're valuable is because they were struck with diamond on obverse.
