US Scott #64b. by jscottb
Hi everyone, What does a US Scott #64b really look like? Scott says "Rose Pink" I have seen many dealers have them listed as #64b, but they did not look like the Scott description at all to me as they looked like a rusty red with a pink or pink/rose tinge. I have several hundred 1861 3c...

Date of Issue for KGVI definitives by Bob Ingraham
Can someone (perhaps with a Stanley Gibbons catalogue) tell me the date of issue of the 1/2p and 1p King George VI definitives of 1937? Scott doesn't say; I have just ordered a nice cover dated May 10, 1937, which was three days before the king's coronation. Edward VIII's abdication took effect on...

Scott 11 stamp by Grandpa
One of my few purchases at my first bourse a month ago was 3 stock book pages of mint stamps with a few cxl'd ones mixed in. I paid like $6 for around 200+ stamps, almost all being early 1900's and mint. Having had an opportunity to look closer at them now, behind another stamp I found what I am...

USA Postal Savings Stamps by Robert McGuinness
In 1911 the US Post Office issued a 10c orange postal savings stamp in sheets and also a single item imprinted on a card. Shortly afterwards (the same year) the stamps were reissued in blue. What was the reason for changing the colour of the stamp so quickly? Anyone have any ideas Thanks Rob
