"General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for
the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here
to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr....

color stamp album ? by
Alouette
Hello,
I'm making my own stamp album using AlbumGen for my 1933-1945 Germany
collection. I'll print on blank Lighthouse pages and use a Deutsches Reich
Lighthouse binder.
I'm pondering on whether use color or black and white images for this album.
Color images sure look nice but then you can't...

I'd love to sell sight unseen at that price, and I'm sure you can all
guess what they are!

Looking Back at Beauty - New "Art on Stamps" Page by
Victor Manta
Mikaeri Bijin (A Beauty Looking Back), one of the pictures of beautiful
women that Hishikawa Moronobu painted by hand, appeared on the first
commemorative Japanese stamp, issued on Nov. 12, 1948 (Scott 422). This
painting was then reproduced on several later stamps, the last time so far
on a sheet...

Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Symbolism by

This section of my site that includes the three closely related, yet very
different art styles, has been totally revised with more information and
some new tamps.

designed by a Art Nouveau artist, who has also been...

Check This U.S. Revenue Collection Out On eBay! by
Mr. Tracy Barber
Just for fun, I thought I'd post this link here to show some of you
that there are some "purty" U.S. revenues / locals to be had, if one
were to collect them.
I have passed mine on to other people, but this is one heck of a good
start towards a well rounded U.S. revenue collection.
These are not...

I have this cover

With labels for a total of 8000 kop. What are those labels (certainly
stamps but with which status) ? The date on the cancellation is october
26, 1993. It seems that the post office clerk hand-stamped in advance
some brown paper to...

Help Finding an Issue Date(s) by
Con
I have 2 US Postal Issue cards - UX44, and UX45 - I was wondering if
anyone could provid me with the issue dates of these cards. I am
assuming mid to late 1950's based on the stamp of the Statue of
Liberty being the same format used in the "Liberty" definitive series.
Thanx
C.

Edmund Dulac - 1882-1953 by

In some recent email exchanges with Seb (Sebastian) Delcampe I made

Spanish and even English, but such a concentration of diverse
languages can be daunting. This...
