Opinion of Rick Tomaska (R&I Coins) by
Michael Ng
Hi all,
As stated before, I was interested in purchasing a Franklin Half Dollar.
I would like an opinion on Mr. Tomaska of R&I coins. I know of his
reputation in terms of his quality, but what about his prices? Are they
worth it?
Thanks,
Mike

Coin Talk Needs You by
Peter T Davis
Howdy Folks,
The forum that I set up last fall, www.cointalk.org is now getting in the
area of 200 unique visitors per day. These are mostly newbies who come in
from the search engines. I've done my homework on website promotion, and
now it's paying off. Now, Coin Talk needs experienced people...

Suspended by ebay for listing unapproved coins - take action! by
Gwen
I have been suspended by ebay unfairly for relisting SEGS and PCI
coins. Ebay claims they are counterfeit, but THEY ARE NOT!!!
I've been a seller for years, ebay doesn't know what they are doing, yet
my income is gone!!!! This is the ANA's fault for starting this with ebay
but not following...

Arrogant Ebay by
Frank Provasek
I sometimes send email to my ebay customers when I put up a lot of new
stuff at one cent start and no reserve. I have their email addresses from
them writing to ME (not sent through ebay's system.) Got a PHONE CALL from
ebay warning me not to send any more spam email to "their" customers.
I...

Dipping by
Dennis G. Rears
I've heard that some dealers (mainly from the major coin advertisers) dip
coins. Supposely dipping is different from cleaning coins. A year ago I
bought a 1934-2006 Lincoln cent set in a Dansco album labeled 1909-2007. I
was missing 70 coins from 1909-1933. I've been buying them from various...

Collecting experience by
Reid Goldsborough[_2_]
This year marks exactly ten years of my beginning coin collecting again.
Time for a retrospective, some analysis. Read at your own risk. This
will be long (winded). Consider this post a medium-length magazine
article, though more personal and less focused. Though this includes
some dealer...

OT Question by
Mister Ed
This group is one of the most knowledgeable
groups around, and I wonder if someone could help settle this question.
Why was vanilla Coke taken off the market? I heard that Coca Cola was
being sued over it, and has to pay damage suits over it. I heard that
sellers had to return whatever supplies...

How not to get burned by Ira Stein's coins by
Michael Ng
Hi all,
I am going to start a topic on how not to get burned by Ira's
coins. The problem is not with Ira, his coins, the quality or the
prices thereof. In fact, Ira's coins are probably (one of) the best
in numismatics.
The question is basically, when the time comes, how to get the
best price...

Yet another ANA report by
Ed. Stoebenau
Ok, I doubt this will be brief (now that I've written on and off
for an hour I can say safely it will not be), and I'm going to
try to make this as complete as I can but I'm sure there has been
events and items I have forgotten over the past week. I will
also try to make it chronological, but I'm...
