Size of various broad oblique nibs by
alc
I am interested in getting a good, very broad oblique nib.
Montblanc, Pelikan, Omas, & others, make good broad oblique nibs. Some
of the websites/brochures feature 'examples' of the line made by
different nibs but that gives a limited feel of the actual line on
paper. I have tried calling into...

How do you clean your nib? by
Yaderp
Hello,
After filling my pens from an inkwell, there is always a coating of ink on
the nib. As I try to clean this with a tissue, even more ink wicks out of
the feed coating the nib. Perhaps this is a simple case of using the wrong
technique or material to clean the nib. Anyone care to offer a...

Newbie question: Vintage pen for everyday use by
seg
Hi there,
Apologies if this has been debated to death in oder postings, I did a
newsgroups search but could not find an answer.
I am a pen user but have always used new pens - Sheafers, Parkers,
Pelikans mostly.
I now want to buy a vintage Conway Stewart, but I want to be able to
use it on a...

possibly blatant advertisement designed to educate? by
Licensed to Quill
If there really are people here who don't know who Licensed to Quill is, it
may be useful if you could peruse
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2195443571
This is, of course, a blatant advertisement of the type which people seem
to like using every time they put some piece on...

Mont Blanc Question by
Prometheus7
15 years ago my wife gave me a classic Mont Blanc ballpoint pen. I think
she paid $89 for it, and they could be found everywhere for around that
price. I haven't thought about it since that time until I searched on the
web for funsies and it seems that you can't get the same pen for less...

Q: is this a pelikan M250? by
seg
I wonder if anyone can help me here.
I have been offered a pelikan M250 fountain pen for approx $35. It has
green body, black cap, in very good condition and the nib has
"pelikan", the pelican logo and "F" on it.
As far as I know, the M250 has the 14C gold nib, and all the photos I
have seen have...

Bottled Ink life... by
Carmen Gauvin-O'Donnell
Hey folks!
Can anyone tell me if ink that is kept in a tightly closed bottle when not
in use still has a limited shelf life and should be discarded after a while,
no matter how good it looks?
Just curious...
Thanks!
