Finally saw a vending machine accepting $2 bills by
Duh_OZ
CTA - El stations have vending machines that accept $2 bills. Still
haven't found other's yet. Thinking back to my last Vegas trip -
I don't think I ever tried feeding any into slots. Anyone have luck
finding a machine accepting $2 bills?
And why do the newspapers (that sell for 50 cents)...

Does this sort of note have a name? by
Honus
The serial number on this brand new $10 American note is 10869801 so it
reads the same upside down as it does right side up. For the record, no I
don't think I have anything valuable and I'm not going to try and sell it to
some poor shmuck on ebay. g It's just a curiosity to me, and it's going...

Nigeria to revalue its currency in August 2008 by
dorancoins
I found this on the BBC News website:
Nigeria set to free its currency - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/6946604.stm
Come August of 2008, Nigeria will revalue the Naira at 100 old to 1
new. Kinda odd that they just redesigned their lower denomination
currency including the issuance of the...

Jury Duty by
Duh_OZ
On topic because being 02/22 I gave each juror a $2 bill after our
verdicts (gave the two standby theirs just before after they were told
they we no longer needed) came in. Gave the foreperson an additional
$2 for the extra work. Told them all they should bring them all luck
and they'll never...

CAA Catalogers = Dumb and Dumber ??? by
Fiona Always
Fortunately (for the consigner) online bidders are much smarter than
the people cataloging small size notes for CAA:
Long Beach Sale:
http://apps.heritagecoin.com/common/auction/catalog.php?SaleNo=354
Check out Lots 15832, 15842, & 15841.
Check the estimates, then figure out why the bids are so...

Banknote Shipment to Canada Question by
Harvey
If I wish to send a US $10 note or a Canadian $10 note to Canada, do I
really need to register it as per US Postal Regulations? That alone costs
$8 and seems onerous.

$100,000 gold certificate by
stan skyes
I stumbled on your group by accident and I remembered that my friend
showed me a scan of a $100,000 gold certificate issued on 1934
bearing the picture of Woodrow Wilson. He said that it belongs to his
father. I guess through some of the posts here and on the net that it
is a rarity and could...

Do people collect counterfeit money? by
Ray Pendergraph
I am very new to collecting money. I saw a post earlier that was
talking about collecting counterfeit money I have a couple of
questions.
1) Do people actually collect counterfeit money? And I'm guessing this
is not legal (even though they are not trying to circulate it).
2) There was also...

The serial is EE78868226A, with Sheet Position of C2 and Face Plate C14 and

BEP Monthly reports indicate it was made in Washington in May of '03.

Don't you hate this - WHATS IT WORTH and cross posting by
George D
Today I bought a brick of $1.00 FRN's from the bank. I am going to use these for
"Thanksgiving Turkeys" for my employees. My way of doing this is to pad them in groups of
25 with a cardboard back and a printed cover.
The series is of course 1999 as that is the current series being issued.
Serial...

Rarity question by
Lyntoy1
In a previous thread I had asked about Evansville notes and several folks
responded or e-mailed that they are fairly common. I did find a couple for sale
through dealers, but have found none on Ebay to compare them with. Being a coin
collector, I am used to seeing some pretty rare stuff on Ebay, so...

Hey Guys and Gals... Take a LOOK at this super nice "XF/AU" note.
Looks like a VG/F to me, or are my eyes deceiving me. I better go see
