Numismatic Gifts for the Holidays by
Michael E. Marotta
Hanukkah Gelt is pretty easy. Kids like anything. You can give them
Buffalo Nickels, Mercury Dimes, and Indianhead cents in little bags
and you have given them "ancient" history as far as they are
concerned. You can buy packs of mixed foreign banknotes for $5, $10,
and $20 from ads in CW and NN....

Occupation Austrian bank note by
Mark
Hi
My father was in the British forces that moved up from North Africa through
Italy into Austria. After he passed away we found some occupation bank
notes. They look like they were issued by the British for the Austrian
population. Any ideas what these are or if they are worth anything?
Thanks

Odd $1 Note by
SteveH
Found an odd $1 note today in circulation. It is a 2006 Series, but
the color is different than other 2006 issues, and you can see the
reverse printing from the front, and the front printing from the
reverse. I thought it was "bleeding", but when you pass another note
under it, you can almost read...

Not endearing himself to lovers of Scottish notes with this description.
Having had a second look at the notes his description may in fact be
accurate. :-) Billy

replied saying that I was correct.
