European and Asian Pen Dealers by Cliff Reynolds
There have been some pretty decent fountain pen deals on e-bay. Like a Pelikan M800 for $219.00 (I think that's pretty fair). Or an M200 for $39.00. Some dealers are from Germany, and some others are from the Netherlands, and Switzerland. And then there are several asian dealers I've come...

Pen That Can Take Parker Gel Refill by Surinder Singh
Can Any one suggest a nice but inexpensive ($20) pen that will take the Parker Gel refills? I tried to use them in a Joter, but my fingers start aching because the jotter is too thin for me to grip. Thanks. -s

Fountain pen as highlighter? by Juhapekka Tolvanen
Have somebody ever tried this? 1) Buy some fountain pen with extremely broad nib. 2) Fill it with bright yellow or orange fountain pen ink. 3) Use it as higlighter instead of highlighting felt pen (for example Stabilo Boss). I mean, draw wide line over text you want to highlight with that pen.

Mold in waterproof Noodler's ink, how did it happen? Ink still waterproof? Ink bad? by Magna
Hi all, I guess it's mold. I open the bottle after being closed for about a week or two, and upon opening notice white fuzzy cotton looking stuff on the cap and inside the bottle. I think it's mold, am I correct? How did this happen? I closed it tight, and my other waterproof Noodler's is fine....

Noodler's Ink - Bleeds Through Paper by Cliff Reynolds
I journal quit a bit, and using a fountain pen has added a whole new dimension to my writing. I had started using standard Parker refills. However, this ink bled through the paper on the Moleskine notebook that I have been using (my last one - I fail to see the big deal with Moleskine). So I...

Looking for Waterman Man 100 Brier Wood cap by Davo-CC
I am trying to find a new cap for a Waterman Man 100 brier wood fountain pen. The pen was sent to Waterman's agent in Australia for replacement of one of its faulty metal components and, after refusing to repair the pen (claiming "we don't fix those pens any more, we don't have parts for them")...

Homesick PoWs kept up spirits with hand-made Post by Norman Haase
From the Yorkshire Post comes an article about POWs during WWII who fashioned a camp edition of the paper on the sly, and.... "Although spurred on by camp leader James 'Dixie' Deans, producing it was easier said than done. Pen nibs had been confiscated by the Germans due to the large amount of...

ink osmosis by [email protected]
Why does the ink get on my fingers when I am writing ? It is not from the paper but from the pen itself. I was in an important meeting taking notes with a pekikan pen and Noddlers Black ink. My fingers looked horrible with ink and as you know it was very hard to remove. Any suggestions? Yes I wipe...

Question about Sheaffer TRZ by Jeff Miars
I have recently acquired a TRZ fountain pen. It writes beautifully if I leave it horizontally on the desk. If I store it vertically I have trouble getting it started. Anyone have a solution for this problem?

Parker Quink by John Horobin
Has Parker Quink changed significantly now it seems to be produced in France? It certainly does not smell the same and I wondered if it was now just Waterman ink? John
