Just how rare is a rotated reverse? by
george pearl
Back when Statehood Quarters were being minted,
I had the good fortune of finding one that was
BU and obviously rotated. I had to go thru 6,000
normal coins before I found it.
I was really tickled over my discovery and promptly
checked Ebay, which gave it a street value of $117.
THEN came...

Who were they? What were they like? by
george pearl
What is the "process" by which BU coins, over
a hundred years old, stay in mint condition
for all these years? What type of person decides
that he's going to sit on a roll of coins for
decades?
I know that the answer for silver dollars staying
so nice is because "they" spent 70+ years locked...

old coins by
B H
I have a 1909 wheat penny and a 1946 silver dime and a 1964 silver dime
and some silver quarters and 2 authentic 2005 silver half dollars. Are
any of them worth anything? All are in great condition.

Ebay Removing PCGS Coins Based on Netcop Tattling by
Steve Spradlin
Whilst it may or may not be related to eBay's recent ban on ICG and
ANACS as approved grading services, PCGS coins
have become the target of anonymous netcops on eBay, where BASED ON A
PHOTO, eBay has been
removing listings for coins reported as being "artificially toned
monstrosities" by members...

So it was the Manganese, huh? by
george pearl
Back in 2004 I bought some Sac dollars thru the mail.
These were "hand-selected coins for their briliance
and stike". Baloney--they just fished them out of a
roll and sent them to me in a couple of flips.
Eight years later I take a look at them and they all
look like they've got smoke damage....

Silver Golden Dollar by
Barney
Opened up a roll today and found a Silver Golden Dollar. It's a Harrison
dollar.
It's the size of a Golden Dollar and the edge is that of a Golden dollar,
but also silver. The whole thing is silver.
On the internet, I've read there may have been a mistake from the Mint
(don't know if...

Steve Mick
A friend has a medal I'd like to know more about. It is a 1969 San
Diego 200th Anniversary 3 inch Silver Commemorative medal that has very
high relief. There is a fair amount of information on the web about
bronze medals of this issue, but I couldn't find anything about the
Silver 3...

First National Bank of Danville, VA. It's in a new CGA holder graded

note, and one other...

Strange nickel Some kind of mint error? by
Alice V
I noticed this nickel when a vending machine rejected it.
The rim is too high on both the front and the back and it cuts off the
top of the letters and numbers on the outer edge of the coin. I think
it is a 1986 P, but I'm not totally sure about the 86...could be 66 or
88. If you lay this coin...

What to do for upcoming riots and coop by
Nomen Nescio
What can one do for the upcoming coop/riots other than have food storage,
silver coins coins for barter, a wheel barrel for cash, own your assets,
guns and ammo, family plan of action, praying, saying of rosary, etc? etc.
I feel that we will not win both houses in the election and "president"...

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right group for my request but I'm
looking for some more information on a coin I have had in my

need advice on paper money by
howard[_2_]
I went to rec.collecting.paper.money and there were posts far and few
between with the usual "silly one-upmanship" and unrelated stuff.
I was given about 50 Confederate notes and with research eliminated all
but one as replicas/hoax money.
The one I would like advice on is a TWO DOLLAR BILL with...
