noob question on ink flow after cleaning by
Billy Rhythm
Hello group. I'm an occaisonal poster over at R.M.M.P (the drummer's
group), but they couldn't help me!
:-)
I recenly got back into writing with a fountain pen. When in college,
I used to use a Parker, and really liked it. I lost it though, and
never really picked another one up. When I was...

Delurk and a question by
Kurt O
To the good folks of alt.collecting.pens-pencils:
I am a regular on alt.smokers.pipes, and one of my compatriots suggested I
try tapping the vast knowledge base here for the answer to a question.
FWIW, my name is Kurt O'Dell and I am a recently unemployed computer
technician in central WV, 33...

lifespan of a good pen? by
Faisal Bhua
Hello,
This is concerning the lifespan of a good quality fountain pen. I have
heard from people that they have pens dating back to 1970s and they
still write well. Being a complete newbie in this matter, could
somebody verify this for me? Supposing I write a single page for 30
years, that's...

How 2 make ink "oilier" by
BigBen
Hi All,
My experiments tell me that black ink is generally the smoothest of
all colors - everything else being equal, of course - but while I love
the smoothness of black ink, I'd still like to use a (very) diferent
color.
So, any tips on how to make my Waterman Havana Brown smoother?
(I do...

Stubborn feed section by
Earl Camembert
I need some suggestions on how to remove a stubborn feed section.
General feed removal tips are welcome. More specific I just acquired a
PARKER SENIOR STREAMLINE YELLOW DUOFOLD. No chips or cracks very clean
with black ends. I should just polish it and put it on display but a
pen should be in...

Questions about pens by
[email protected]
I've used a computer since the early 1980s and I can say that I have
not written with a pen for years, except signatures, doodling, and the
rare form. Lately though, I developed an interest in writing, but I've
become a little sick of computers; don't ask me to explain it, let's
just say they make...

Parker 51 Repairs and Service? by
cortjestir
Hello:
Just purchased a Parker 51 Vacumatic that is in need of some repair.
It fills OK from what I can tell. It writes very well. But if capped
for more than say, 30 minutes, it doesn't start. Barrel needs some
light work as well and it could use a polish, probably a new sac as well.
Can anyone...

Unknown greatnesses? by
Juhapekka Tolvanen
Why these fountain pens haven't been discussed here or anywhere else?:
Parker Jotter:
Entry-level model of Parker. Very tiny, but heavy enough, if bought as
stainless steel version. Works well for me. Yes, I really mean there is
fountain pen in Jotter-series
Pelikan Steno:
I haven't bought this,...

It has been sone time since I visited this site but I am in a position
where I need to sell some Fountain Pens, both current and vintage. I
am considering e-bay but some posts suggest this may not be the best
way. I would appreciate any advice. The current pens include a Mont

Non-fading Inks? by
Jeff Miars
A friend of mine is trying to add color to a chart at church. The chart
will hang in direct sunlight, and every marker/ink/paint used in the
past has faded.
Anyone have an idea what inks might be appropriate for such an application?
Maybe Noodler's?
Thanks for any help.

refilling cartridges by
Edward Bonaventure
On Sat, 12 Jul 2003 at 12:01:13 -0700, Mark Z. scribbled:
-... it might be better to refer to the "blunt needle hypos" as
-syringes, since that is what they are. Hopefully this will help
-to clear up the confusion.
I think what you meant to say is the other way around. I.e.,
fountain pen users...
