Do you use "real" names for colors, as opposed to those fakey,
euphemistic (or worse, Politically Correct) names that seem to be
everywhere these days!? grin It seems to be difficult...

-Where on earth are YOU buying your ink?
Stationery stores, office supplies stores, and so forth. (Not
to mention stores actually selling fountain pens, which means those
hoity-toity places catering to the carriage trade.) Everywhere I

That pretty much answers the question. It sounds like those
designations should be truer to the "old-fashioned" names for colors,
unlike the "warm and...

convertor for Sheaffer's Cartridge pen by

On Sun, 21 Sep 2003 at 14:38:12 -0400, "marlinspike" scribbled:
-...is there a convertor I can use in my Sheaffer's Cartridge pen?
Yes. Contact pen dealers. However, I might note that for the
cheapest pens (which I use!), the easiest Sheaffer barrels to fit
converters into are either the 1950s...

True Writer Problem by
[email protected]
Hello
I received a beautiful, monogrammed True Writer for Christmas from my
wife. Love the pen in every way except it won't write. I can get the
thing started and it writes pretty good, but if I lay it down for a
couple of hours it won't write again. Is there a way to adjust the
feed to keep the...

Next Mont Blanc? by
Ed[_6_]
I finally purchased a Mont Blanc after all these years of trying other
pens. In my opinion, it really is something special. I got the
Chopin model. Now I am thinking of getting another one later this
year. Any suggestions? I want to keep the price out of the
stratosphere, but would be willing...

Pierre Dumont fountain pen by
[email protected]
I recently purchased a "Pierre Dumont" pen set - fountain pen and
ballpoint pen at a garage sale for almost nothing.
This looks like a very high quality pen set. Beautiful red pens in
mint condition with what appears to be gold plate in a mahogany wooden
box labelled "Maregs". The gold fountain...

possible vintage Rotring pencil by

I have a question about a vintage four colour pencil.
On the clip is stamped the word KULI, which Google shows me to be a
name once used by Rotring.
The metal parts are of plated 'Walz Gold' and the pen has a shiny
black plastic central body with a Rotring style red band.
The screw-down cap for...

What is in normal biro ink? by
Emma Watson
Hi Pen People,
Anyone able to enlighten me by telling me what normal run of the mill
bic-type ink is made off. Furthermore does it get absorbed by your skin and
if so is it harmful, esp longterm.
This required due to tree friendly folk using their hands as notebooks.
Yours enquiringly

Refilling rollerball gel pens with ink by
Erik Andersson
Hi!
Is there a way to cut costs by buying ink in bulk and refilling a Rollerball
gel pen when the ink runs out? The refill cartridges (e.g. LAMY M66) are so
expensive!
I tried by dissassembling my LAMY M66 cartridge and dipping the inside tube
straight into some ink, but it didn't seem to work....
