Silver Proof Sets Not Silver Anymore? by
Galen Brinson
I received my new 2003 silver proof set yesterday from the US Mint. While

Digital photography lighting solution by
Reid Goldsborough
The most challenging aspect of taking a photo of a coin is the
lighting. This is particularly so with highly reflective coins -- gold
and proof silver -- and with slabs. I saw at the ANA show what appears
to be a very good solution to this problem, a dome-based lighting
setup made by Scientific...

toning. The D, Proof and Silver all look like the day I bought them.
I don't touch them with my fingers because of the oil, I use...

A coin I like but you probably won't by
Bill Krummel
Toned coins aren't for everyone. Those who avoid toned coins occasionally
comment that they like this or that coin, but it is an exception. Those
who claim to like toned coins will often draw a line between attractively
toned and ugly toned, accepting the former, rejecting the latter. ...
