51 aero filler insulation efect by
VFM
Hi, this is a bit technical question:
I understand that introducing the aerometric filler Parker improved
insulation of the "51" respect temperature changes. But, why the aero filler
increments writing mileage? I can't imagine any ink evaporation through the
lucite barrel in a vac filler 51, only...

Henry Kolesnik
I've seen the number 585 stamped on at least 3 three nibs from different
manufacturers my Mont Blanc and perhaps one of my Sheaffer's and not

A 51 nib for Sanskrit? It can be done. by
Noodler
OK, this time there is an attempted writing demo page. This shows
"before" and "after" photos of a Parker 51 retipped as a harpoon/Sanskrit
style nib (a one of a kind, as nearly every harpoon tip in the past has been
requested for sheaffer balance and touchdown admirals!). It writes razor
fine on...

a couple of questions from a (relative) newbie by
Robert Englund
Hi
Question 1:
Has anyone else noticed that Germans have a particularly distinctive blue
ink? It's blue, but with a certain sort of purple-ish cast to it. I've only
ever seen that particular colour on letters from people in Germany. The
point is, I quite like it. Is it (or something similar)...

A List? by
Don
I know parker bought Sensa and someone else bought Parker. Is there

of which companies owns which pens? Or which companies own other
pen companies?
Thanks for your time and efforts.

A MINOR BURN - eBay Fraud Alert by

I suppose it had to happen eventually. I've been buying on eBay for

from the actual item's condition but often it's been for the better as
well as for the worse. Still I've never had my money taken and no...

Hello,
I've posted here before about my misbehaving Rotring Core. It's been
giving me about a-forth of the original ink flow.
My metric is that before, if I wiped the broad-side of the nib with a
tissue paper, it would be wet with ink. No amount of...

A Mont Blanc, A G2, and some odd assumptions ... by
[email protected]
Strange preconceived notion from outside the pen world. The assumption
behind all of this seems to be that MB rollerball (or any MB ink) is
better than G2 gel ink simply because the former is in much more
expensive pens.
The irony of course is that most of us are always loking for a way...
