Large Denominations by
Malanutt 4 Life
Hey guys, I wrote a post on the wheresgeorge.com website about thinking Crane
might support issuing new $200, $500, and possibly $1,000 bills, and a person
responded that they might not like it because they would be printing less $100
bills if they were printing $1,000 bills. Could this be true? I...

Can you see this new ad for Ira's 1955/55 DD 1c? by
Ira Stein
I'm back from the PAN show, and instead of using an image my wife sent me that
I uploaded into an eBay auction using my laptop at the hotel, I took new photos
of the coin and have re-listed the ad. Can you folks all see the coin now? Lots
of large iamges in this Andale hosted auction...

Submitting coins to NGC by
Keith Fletcher
Given that NGC is in one of their picky modes, does it make any sense to
submit to them rather than PCGS right now? I mean, if NGC is going to be as
picky as PCGS, but the market still pays more for PCGS, why should I send
anything to NGC (other than the fact that they still owe me four...

FA: 1955/55 Doubled Die PCGS MS64 RB 90% red by
Ira Stein
This is without question the finest RB of this date I have ecers seen, much
less purchased for resale. You can see it at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39456&item=2198960442
Most MS64RDs are quite spotty and streaky and this has better eye appeal than
most of these in...

FS: sheets of silver quarters by
Bob Peterson
Somehow along the way, I acquired 3 sheets of silver quarters. These are
all late 40s and early 50s in 2X2s, 20 to a sheet.
Most look to grade g to vf.
I think of them as older junk silver, but they take up a lot of space this
way and I don't want to open up the holders and put them in a roll as...

Hollow Lincoln penny by
liteflyer 1
I just came across a 1954 penny that is hollow on the wheat side. It
is stamped (recessed) to the size of a dime. Anyone else ever see
anything like it.

Plug for Yahoo Seller by
Keith Fletcher
I've never made a recommendation like this before, but I'd like to put in a
plug for Yahoo seller J40D60. She is a wonderful seller of RAW coins but,
being on Yahoo, she doesn't get the kind of bidding activity she deserves.
I picked this little beauty up from...

FA: Modern Commems - Ending Tonight by
TomC
I have auctions for 39 different modern commemoratives ending tonight. All
are PCGS certified MS69 or PR69DCAM. I'm not a dealer - just an individual
collector - and purchased these very selectively for my personal collection.
My interest has shifted to other series, so I'm selling these. If...

Also ending tonight are my auctions for a complete set of JFK halves (126

deluxe Dansco albums. Both sets include all silver proofs, the 1979-s type
2, and the 1965-67 SMS coins. All coins in these sets were recently taken...

Gosh, Bob, that seems a little harsh. I'll keep that in mind the next
time I feel the urge to bid on one of your auctions. But then, you'll
not see this post will you? Not everyone on webtv is an idiot, just like
not everyone on aol is an idiot, etc etc.

Arkansas Quarters by
SeaFarer62
I received my two-set roll of Arkansas quarters on Oct. 25 after ordering Oct.
22. Superb service.
The design of the quarter is fair to middlin'. The design is trying to do
too much and results in a montage of clutter.
I notice the mint jacked up the shipping fee to $ 4.95. I guess I would...

Gold Penny by
Granne
Hello,
We found a gold penny amongst our change the other day, and were curious
what the commonness of that is? Perhaps this penny is just electroplated?
How does one tell? Just curious about this interesting little coin. It is
dated the year 2000, and appears quite new.
Thanks.

2000 & 2001 Proof Sets by
Roger Peterson
I don't know if this has been discussed before, but is there a flaw in some
quarter proof sets of those years. I inspected some of the sets I purchased
(the whole proof set, not just the quarters) and notice that there is no
seal on the quarters half of the set. They are fogged. Yet some of the...
