Any ideas about this? by
Ian Cox
Some while ago I found this in amongst a quantity of Greek stamps.
I appreciate that it’s totally worthless but anybody any idea what
it’s for or where it came from.
The reverse is also shown and what you can see appears to be a very
thin layer of paper rather than something printed on the stamp....

Kiloware by
Ian Miller
Would some kind soul out there please enlighten an ignorant newbie? Just
what constitutes "kiloware" in philatelic parlance? Does it really have
anything to do with "thousands" ( the meaning of kilo..)?

Old collection by
Ian Miller
Thank you to all who have replied to my query.
On sober reflection I think I shall follow Bob Ingraham's suggestion and
leave the hinges on so long as they do not intrude too obviously. Aesthetics
aside I have far too many to go through at this stage to spend time soaking
those that do not really...

Old collection by
Ian Miller
Hi all,
I have recently received the remnants (2000 +) of an old collection the
majority of which comprises ex-mounted stamps with hinges still attached.
Due to the ravages of time most of these hinges seem almost to be welded (!)
to the stamps. Can anyone suggest a better way of cleaning the...

Ian Smith
Yo. I have a stamp collection. It is a combination of my fathers and two
step fathers stamp collection. I'd like to go through it and find the value
of each stamp. They are all from different countries, some of which don't
exist any more.
Signed,
Loco

Upside down stamps? by
[email protected]
I know there is a long history of putting stamps upside down. Most say
that it is a way to convey that you love the recipient of the letter.
But no one seems to know when and where this tradition started. Anyone
know?

Uncut sheet of 9 cent postcards by
ignatious
Somewhere along the way I acquired a couple of sheets of what I believe
are 40 uncut postcards with 9 cents postage on them. The paper is
heavyweight but I'm not sure if is it heavy enough for a postcard.
There is nothing on the back and the paper was rolled up.
I'm curious if these were printed...

I have recently come into a collection of US and world stamps in books and very
few loose ones and these are in cellophane envelopes. My aunt spent in the
neighborhood of $20k on this collection. I would like to sell them but not give
