New French Marianne by Ralphael
My online dealer has two new Marianne booklets listed. Unfortunately he only shows the cover. I would like to know if these are new stamps or just new booklet covers. Thanks, Ralphal, the OLD one

window envelopes by [email protected]
I have recently become (mildly) intrigued by window envelopes, which seem to be dealers' bane because their provenance is difficult to impossible to determine. It's their *construction* which interests me. A friend recently showed me two First World War window envelopes in which the window was...

Exchange stamps by pindborg
Hi In the "old" days the website www.stamptraderlist.net was very useful for exchanging stamps with other people around the world. Now the website seems obsolete and I wonder if there are any other website for exchanging stamps. Best regards Erik Pindborg

Working slowly on a new section of my Art History Site ("Illustrators") I came across a bunch of Romanian Stamps 1981 by Norman Rockwell. On the FDC's of this series of eight stamps it is printed "Jocuri de Copii". I know that copii means children, but "jocuri"? . And yes, I do have a lot of...

Problems with hinge removal from CTO stamps by Pasha
I often buy used stamps that are attached to album pages with hinges. It's easy to separate the hinges from the pages, but separating the hinges from the stamps is often a pain. I tried using Supersafe Hinge Removal liquid, but it usually disfigures a stamp. :-( Of course, the easiest way is...
