FA: SLQs -- Rainbow toning? by
TomC
Here's a picture of one of 11 SLQs I have up for auction -- all uncleaned.
I'm advertising it
as having natural rainbow toning, but thought I'd double check here to see
if you all agree that the toning on this can be accurately described as
rainbow. I seem to recall some controversy expressed as to...

Some old coins by
Fred Griffin
I've posted some images of old coins that were collected by some of my
relatives. The domestic coins range from the 1820's to a 1943 steel
penny. The foreign coins date from the 1860's to 1980. They all appear
to be in poor to fair condition. None of them are anywhere near
uncirculated.
I'd like...

Commemorative Euros Question by
R. Upton
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew which Euros were commemorative...
So far I've managed to find:
1/4 Euro France
10 euro (all 5 mints) Germany 2002 (are they doing the same for 2003)
One 10 Euro Netherlands 2002 (this was the first one)
I think there's 2 10 euro coins for Finland 2002 (but I...

Question for a Chemist? by
Dale Hallmark
I acquired a US Congress Commemorative half dollar quite a while back and
over the last few months it has
mottled. And don't tell me I can't turn an adjective into a verb either;-)
Anyway it discolored terribly in a gray yeeech sort of way and in small
splotches to boot.
I thought to myself, this...

Golden Dollar to SBA ratio by
Fred Shecter
It's a good week for the ratio.
One box is 2 to 5% SBA (I didn't count it exactly yet) and the second box is exactly 10%
SBA.
That means mostly GDs. Much better than past batches with 30 to 35% SBAs.
If they keep diluting the SBAs with more GDs then the SBAs will become more uncommon and
less of...

Jefferson Nickels by
Eldon Wakefield
We saw where the Mint is going to sell Rolls of Jefferson Nickels, like the
State Quarters, Sacs, and Halves.
Could anyone tell me why I should buy these? Other than just having them. or
