Father Terry has died by
Nicolás Parres
I feel like as if I've lost my own father.
Was one in a million, a wonderful man.
He got me interested in repairing my own pens, I have a handful of his
marvelous tools.
Last time he sent me a letter he included a detailed drawing on how to
fix a Nozac.
I thank all people that contributed in the...

45 vs. 51 by
yland45
although the 51 is definitely a unique pen, it pales almost to
insignificance in my eyes to a parker 45 with a 14K nib for extended
periods of writing, for which i use it. My grandmother gave it to me,
telling me that she used it as her metric pen. i have been using it
for years as well and i cant...

Are these pens worth bothering with? I've seen only one -- a nice-looking
FP -- but I understand they have a life-time warranty.
Thanks,
Bart

Are there any FP's currently in production that feature both a slip-cap and are
piston-filled, other than the Lamy 2000?

S Morgan pencil holders by
Ian
I recently picked up a S Morgan pencil holder which takes a regular
pencil with a screw thread.
Anybody got an idea on how I can put such a thread on a regular pencil?
is there a specific tool out there?

Inkjet Refil Strategies by
[email protected]
Some input from a chem e: n-butanol is an excellent solvent for ink, if
you can get ahold of some it would be much better for dissolving the
crusty clogs in the jet nozzles. A little slow to dry, and somewhat
smelly, too. Also, if you use water to formulate or clean, use
distilled, many tap waters...

conklins? by
Sally Waters
Got in the latest Fahrney's catalog today and was looking at the Conklin
Cushion-Point - I want to treat myself to a new pen, and this one (around
$60) is in my price range. Do any of y'all have one of these? Any opinions
on them, or on the Mark Twain Signature pens?
Thanks!

One more Parker quesiton by
derprediger
Again, thanks for the help regarding my Parker 51. Amazingly, my local
Staples had some black Quink. My 51 is coming from England - so I assume it
was produced for that market. The only identifier - it has a gold cap and
is stamped "Parker" on the fine nib. Can you tell me anything more...

Parker 51 - Ink Advice by
derprediger
Thanks to all for direction regarding the purchase of a 51 - it's on
it's way. What ink to buy? Where to buy?
I had read somewhere that 51's used a special ink - quick drying?
Thanks!
