It will play just fine for an hour or so and then blow the 1 amp fuse that is labeled 1 amp 28 volt dc "Sel"; which I assume means selection. When the fuse blows the arm that is supposed to stop and trigger the selection just keeps going around and around. I can manually trigger a selection and the second arm does its thing and the selection will play.

Now the person I bought it from had a 1 amp 250 volt fuse in it, and he gave me extras for it. And that is what I have been replacing it with for now..

Trying to figure out why it blows the fuse after about an hour of play and trying to locate the correct fuse; which I cannot find anywhere on the web. Any help from the veteran juke box wizards would be appreciated!

Well my wife wanted a Jukebox, so I thought, should not be a big deal to restore one. :). Its now 2 months later (150+ hours) and there is light at the end of the tunnel, but I'm stuck now and I can't figure it out.

The jukebox worked ok (Selector pin, blown speaker, and turn table issues) before I tore her down. I completed all of the basic repairs and all the cosmetics, but did not touch the amp or power distribution unit, since someone had done a basic rebuild on it 10 years. I did change the cable between the amp and power box, because the insulation was breaking inside the cable. Upon reassembly everything works fine except no sound came out of speaker.

I found that the RU4 tube does not glow when the record is playing, but all other tubes glow. The start relay works properly and I have around 40vac on one set of contacts and 12vac on the other. Voltages at the RU4 do not seem to change at all when I manually press the start relay and close the contacts.

The Schematic says I should be getting high voltages on certain pins of the RU4, but the highest I see is around 40vac, with or without the start relay engaged.

I would be greatly appreciative of any help. I wanted to give the Jukebox to my wife for mothers day, but that looks in jeopardy now.

Thank you for your time.

hi everyone
I recently got a cd51 from a film set sale, and it *does* (sort of) work.
did a full initialize (even though not every slot is full, figured that would be better than doing individual initialize). anyway the issue is: only one or two of the (around 40) cds will even play, and then the cd player will play the song but the cd player skips and makes the song all distorted (brand new cds so I know it's not cds that are scratched up)
the ccc has on the 5v light but doesn't have any lights that seem "bad" UNTIL the cd player starts skipping all over the place, then the system error lights up on the ccc and the error light lights up on the cd player control computer as well.
im scared that if I keep trying to fix it, I will screw it up worse!
im not an electrical whiz so plain English would be helpful here
my well-meaning mother thought she would call a tech to show her how to run the maching, but I wasn't there when he came out, and so his service call was totally useless, and he is super unreliable (called him a week ago to no avail). even just me tinkering with it has been because of lurking on these forums...
so on another note, if anyone knows a new Orleans person who could come out to my home on a service call that;d be helpful!
thanks in advance

I hope somebody could help me with my rockola 434 , I just recently got , when I tested it , at first when I put it on the scan it spins , I was even able to get it load a record when I pushed the buttons on the selection, but soon after that , It just wont reset, I mean the arm is there on the turntable , but when the record is finished or when I manually turn the arm with the stylus towards the end of the record it wont switch back , now when I switch the pointer to the scan position , it wont scan ,

when I select , it turn around clicks and selects, but it wont pick a record since the tone arm is still there on the record and it wont reset and finish the record to return to the right home position , I think there seem to be nothing wrong with the gears gumming and stuck issues , where shoud I be checking first ? thanks so so much
