Anybody out there had any experiences buying 8-track tapes from an
eBay seller whose User ID is TERASU?
Just curious.

Yup. His name is Terry, and we sold tapes to him a couple of years ago.
At the time, he and a buddy had bought a big old pallet of carts, and he
was selling them on 8-track heaven. Seemed like a decent sort!

I have. I gave him a few tries. He always sent me extremely dirty
carts that needed much TLC. So I stopped buying tapes from him.

His tapes look like they've spent the last fifteen years in a dusty
rural South Carolina flea market--which is probably his actual source,
no joke--and they probably spent the fifteen before that getting beer
spilled on them in the backseat floorboard of a beater Camaro.

cripes, EVANS, we're talking about relics from 30 years ago, not
something you can get new in a store anymore. You'd open King Tut's
tomb, and complain about the condition of the priceless relics inside,
I can hear it now "gee, they're really dusty, blah blah blah..."
You're a friggin collector snob, nothing more. Don't project your
sickening modern materialism onto the 8-track hobby. The majority of
carts ever made, spent most of their life in cars getting beer spilled
on them. They were designed for cars first, remember ?? You wouldn't
remember, as you were friggin 2 years old at the time, or still
swimmin' in your old mans balls. It's pathetic how YOU believe every
cart worth anything, has to be bought for some outrageous price on
****ed up EBAY auctions- or sealed.

Typical trait of your generation. Generation L, for loser- that's
you.

Here's a question for you Paul, DID YOU EVER BUY A CART NEW FROM A
STORE OR RECORD CLUB, WHILE THEY WERE STILL A MODERN FORMAT ??

Don't bother answering, we no the answer is NO. That makes your
opinion worth nil- and you can never catch up. You're nothing but a
fake parading around this newgroup as someone knowledgeable.

And what the **** do YOU drive ?? No doubt a beater Volvo, VW, or
Toyota, right ??

Great Charlie!! That certainly was an information laden message you
responded with. I'm sure it was necessary for all people interested in
8 tracks to see what your thoughts were on TERASU. OOOPS! Ya know I'm
not sure there was anything about terasu in that message! I guess I'll
have to go back and read it again. NAW! Not worth it! Dan F.

There's a difference between dusty and ****ty. I wouldn't expect you
to recognize it.

You're a dog who won't stop ****ing my leg, no matter how hard I kick.
Jesus. Stop it already. You're a grown man, for Christ's sake.

Like I get bummed out when I end up paying fifty cents for what I want
instead of fifty bucks?

This loser is ten years farther away from prostate cancer, baldness,
feeling like **** all the time, impotence.....Which ones are knocking
on your door, motard? Which ones have already made themselves feel at
home?

You're nothing but a cuckold to a 300lb. mound of flab and cottage
cheese, you smarmy little asshole, who trolls around this NG leaving a
wide swath of mouth-breathing drool, which will still not be dry 10
years from now, when your pubescent daughter gets curious enough to
look on Google and see what a loserly schmuck of a deranged asshole
her father was, as if all the years she spent in hell until your sorry
ass got run over by a dump truck on her 11th birthday weren't enough
to convince her that you must truly be the sorriest SOB in the
entirety of Pennsylvania.

'92 Chevy Silverado shortbed with brand new tires, radiator fluid that
looks like mud, and an engine that sounds like emphysema but runs like
a mother****er. You'd give it a double take from the bus stop, I
guarantee.

Welcome back Paul! I have been setting aside a few carts for you.
Heading up to Arlington anytime in the near future?

I concur. I've bought a few tapes from him and they all looked like he
wiped his ass with them. Notice how he carefully avoids discussing
tape quality in his ads, and tries to cover up his omission with CAPS
LOCK PEPPINESS!

what's so hard about cleaning a tape, or even making a new label with
a modern scanner/printer.

if it's a rare cart, or one you need for your collection, it would be
worth it, right ??

it's done all the time in the toy and model railroad hobbies
